Commonly known as the “Senhora da Graça” (Our Lady of Grace), Monte Farinha is a cone shaped mountain with the town of Mondim de Basto at its base. It is situated at the junction of the regions of Douro Litoral, Minho and Trás os Montes.
Access to the summit of the Senhora da Graça is by a well surfaced road which passes by the main landing site, thus facilitating successive flights. Owing to the contours of the Senhora da Graça you can take off in any direction without problems, thanks to the steep slopes. The main landing site is large and faces north, not posing any difficulties, even to less experienced pilots. It is an excellent place for ridge soaring or restitution lifts. |
